Jeff was born and raised in Greenville, WI (just outside Appleton, WI). He moved to Eau Claire to attend UWEC, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. In September of 2004, two important life events happened. Most importantly, he met Becky and they’ve been together ever since! He also started his career at Farrell Equipment by emptying garbage cans in the warehouse. He is still employed at Farrell, but his role has evolved over those 16 years from warehouse worker to inside sales, to rental manager, to moving to Madison to open and run that branch, then back to Eau Claire for his current position of operations manager.

Jeff has been alongside Becky for her incredible journey the entire 16 years they’ve been together. After moving to Madison in 2009, he went into the ER with severe abdominal pain. In order to figure out the cause, they started by completing a scope and then colonoscopy. The colonoscopy revealed pre-cancerous pollups (at the age of 23!). As eye-opening as that was, it wasn’t the cause of his pain. Talk about a blessing in disguise though. A nuclear medicine scan found that Jeff had something called Meckel’s diverticulum, an outpouching on the small intestine from the umbilical cord. He had a small bowel resection and that was taken care of. The pre-cancerous pollups, along with bloodwork showing both high blood pressure and high cholesterol were warning signs that their lifestyle of eating out, drinking and little physical activity needed to change. Thanks to diet and lifestyle changes, Jeff was about to get his blood pressure and cholesterol under control withOUT the use of medication.

Being there for his father-in-law’s battle with cancer followed by Becky’s celiac and own cancer diagnosis (twice) has shaped Jeff’s outlook on life and view of food and lifestyle. It became evident that there is much more that factors into someone’s health than commonly thought. It is so important to address all aspects: mind, body and soul. Wholistic Oasis will provide services that address all those important areas. Becky is the face of Wholistic Oasis, but Jeff is behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly and using his love of spreadsheets to keep things organized.
